Study of apricots on a china plate

Two apricots on an antique plate, sitting on a vintage linen towel. 

I have been painting this format for over a full year, and working on the shadows - specifically the darkness and color of the shadows - was my focus here. I was really happy with how this study turned out. Also, I ate the subject after the painting was done ;-)
