Pears on a Plate Study (Best)

Two pears on an antique flow-blue plate. I consider this one of my most successful studies so far, the paint is loose but the drawing of the subject was technically accurate. My favorite part of this is the blue stripe painted on the inner floor of the plate. The place where it meets the rim of the plate and the shadow of the pears is where all the darks blend into each other and sit in high contrast to the yellow highlight on the bottom of the pear.
