Plain, undecorated medium-sized bowl with celadon glaze, slightly warped from heat in the kiln. Signed RS 2025 but this is concealed completely with glaze.
I makes these high-fired porcelain pieces once a year, in the fall, with my pottery mentor Guy Wolff. I threw this small bowl on the wheel, off the hump. Then Guy dipped it into celadon glaze and fired it to cone 10 in his outdoor propane-fuelled kiln.
I consider these pieces to be some of the finest wares I've made in my twenty plus years of producing pottery.
