I made this stoneware bowl in Rhode Island, inspired by an antique ironstone bowl in my personal collection. I loved to proportions of the bowl, but also the detail of the foot that makes this shape more formal. The celadon glaze was applied by Guy Wolff before he fired it in his gas powered outdoor kiln in Connecticut (this bowl has travelled a lot in the manufacturing process)! The green/gray glaze is mottled from minerals in the clay body.
Approximate size: 6" wide at top, 3.75" tall, 4" wide at base.
