Inspired by the flowerpot in the painting of Rubens Peale with a Geranium, painted by in 1801, Guy has been making this simple red pot with a rope for decades. The special tool for the rope is handcrafted, and when Guy first started teaching me how to make this pot, he also showed me how to make the rope tool - which I've used on these Peale Pots.
