Guy showed me how to make these wonderful "Captain's Flasks" that have roots in both 19th century pottery and 18th Century "hip flasks". They were so much fun to make, we spent an afternoon playing in the pottery workroom throwing the bottle shape, flattening them out, dipping the red clay piece into white slip and then carving away the design. These flasks hold liquid but are low-fired so they may leave a watermark when placed on a surface.
Approximate size of these flasks are 6.5-7" tall, 4-5" wide, 1.5-2" deep.
