I made these mugs in the barn in Rhode Island, inspired by shapes in my antique ironstone collection. Each mug is slightly unique, as I was playing with overall proportions, shapes for the foot and different handle styles. The green/gray glaze is celadon and the speckling comes from minerals in the clay body, fired at cone 10. These mugs traveled from RI to CT to be glazed and fired by Guy Wolff in his outdoor kiln.
