The drippy glaze caused a small are to stick to the kiln shelf, so a bit of the base has been sanded down removing the cracked shard of glaze *noted in photos. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Helvetica; color: black;\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: Helvetica; color: black;\"\u003eI make these  high-fired porcelain pieces once a year in the fall, with Guy Wolff. I first threw the vase on the wheel and then painted the design using cobalt (blue). When bisqued, Guy dips the piece into celadon glaze and then fires it at cone 10 in his propane-fuelled outdoor kiln.
